The dry whites are diverse in style. Nowadays we prefer to produce fresh, pure wines with rich aromas of the wine itself. We are using less new oak than before and consider our white wines to be consumed in 1 to 6 years of age.

carsinblancsec150x150Blanc de Carsin wines are made to be more or less aperitif -style wines. They are made from Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Semillon is a good variety to base a wine on. It can be quite discrete when it is young and thus the aromatic Sauvignon is a very good contrast to it. Semillon is at its best after ageing a little in bottle, when it becomes rich with toasty and honey characters. We are trying to get the best out of the fruit and to keep the wine fresh with citrus aromas.

L'Etiquette Grise 2012_150x150L’Etiquette Grise is a wine that is made from Sauvignon Gris. At one time this grape was almost extinct and at the moment there are only 2% Sauvignon Gris out of all the white wines produced in Bordeaux. This wine is fermented with natural yeasts in older oak barrels and is kept on yeast lees for 6 – 8 months after the fermentation. We consider this as our more serious dry white wine to be enjoyed with food. L’Etiquette Grise is as it best at 2 to 4 years of age and has aromatic fresh flavors such as gooseberry and sweet exotic fruits.

letiquetteblancheL’Etiquette Blanche is our Sauvignon Blanc –based, aromatic white wine balanced with Semillon and a small amount of Sauvignon Gris. This wine is fresh with citrus and mineral aromas. It has also flavors of exotic fruits, ripe apples and delicate herbs. We believe that the wine is at its best with fresh fish, light meats or rich salads. Latest L’Etiquette Blanche was produced in 2011.
